Fabric and crossbars
The fabric is fixed to supporting crossbars. These support the fabric and travel along side guides; the material folds as the roof retracts.
Slope and drainage
When extended, the roof directs water to the collection area. Slope, gutter and wall junctions are agreed for the model's construction.
Material and controls
We select fabric, frame colour and controls. Fabric waterproofing and fire properties are checked in its documentation; lighting is discussed separately.
